कागजात नभएका गैरकानूनी अप्रवासीलाई देश निकाला गर्ने अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्पको नयाँ नीति सार्वजनिक भएसँगै पन्ध्र सय भन्दा बढी नेपाली निशानामा परेका छन् । उनीहरु अमेरिकाको अध्यागमन अदालतबाट मुद्दा हारिसकेर इमिग्रेशन एण्ड कस्टम इन्फोर्समेन्ट आइसको सूचीमा देशनिकालाका लागि सूचीकृत भइसकेकाहरु हुन् ।
सन् २००० देखि सन् २०१७ सम्मको अवधिमा आइसको सुचीमा सुचीकृत उनीहरुले टीपीएस लगायतका सुविधा लिएको भएपनि उनीहरु आइसको निशानामा छन् । उनीहरुमध्ये प्राय अदालतबाट देशनिकालाको आदेश पाइसकेका तर अमेरिका नछाडेकाहरु हुन् । अदालतबाट देशनिकालाको आदेश पाइसकेपछि पनि यसअघि आपराधिक रेकर्ड नभएकाहरुलाई देशनिकाला गर्ने कामलाई प्राथमिकता नदिइएका कारण उनीहरु देशनिकाला हुनबाट बचेकाहरु हुन् ।
डिपार्टमेन्ट अफ होमल्याण्ड सेक्युरिटी, एक्ज्युकेटिभ अफिस फर इमिग्र्रेशन रिभ्यु, इमिग्रेशन एण्ड कस्टम इन्फोर्समेन्ट आइस र युएससीआईएसबाट प्राप्त तथ्यांक अनुशार सन् २०१७ मा यस्तो आदेश पाइसकेका नेपालीहरुको संख्या अहिलेसम्म २३ रहेको छ । जसमध्ये २० जनाले देशनिकालाको आदेश पाएका छन् भने ३ जनाले आफै स्वेच्छिक रुपमा अमेरिका छाड्न अनुमति पाएका छन् ।
सन् २०१६ मा अदालतबाट डिपोर्टको आदेश पाइसकेका नेपालीहरु १ सय ७ जना रहेको र १४ जनाले अदालतबाटै स्वेच्छिक रुपमा देश छाड्ने स्वीकृति पाएका थिए । तर आइसको रेकर्ड अनुशार जम्मा २५ जना नेपालीहरु वास्तविक रुपमा देशनिकाला भएका छन् । यसरी हेर्दा ९६ जना नेपालीहरु सन् २०१६ मा देशनिकालाको आदेश पाइसकेपछि पनि अमेरिकाभित्र नै छन् । उनीहरु नै आइसको डिपोर्टेवल सुचीमा रहेका नेपालीहरु हुन् । र , आइसका एजेण्टहरु छापामार्दै उनीहरुका ठेगानाहरुमा पुग्नसक्ने सम्भावना रहन्छ ।
सन् २०१५ मा अदालतबाट देशनिकालाको आदेश पाउने नेपालीहरु १२८ जना थिए भने अदालतबाटै स्वेच्छिकरुपमा अमेरिका छाड्न आदेश पाउनेहरु १२ जना रहेका थिए । तर रिपोर्ट अनुशार ६ जना अपराध प्रमाणित भएका र १४ जना अपराध नगरेकासहित २० जना इमिग्रेशनको डिपोर्टमा परे भने ३९ जना अमेरिकाबाट फिर्ता भए । यसरी हेर्दा ८१ जना नेपालीहरुले सन् २०१५ मा अमेरिकाबाट डिपोर्टको आदेश पाइसकेपछि पनि अमेरिका छाडेनन् । उनीहरु अब आइसको निशानामा छन् ।
